NANS seeks FG Intervention over FUTA Crisis

The National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS has called on the federal government as a matter of urgency to intervene in the crisis that rocked Federal University of Technology, Akure, on Wednesday where it was alleged that the Nigeria police assaulted and battered the Dean Students Affairs, Prof Alese and some students.

In the communique issued by Ojo Kayomide , NANS Director of media and publicity officer, and signed by Com. Egalitarian, NANS national senate. The body said it was disheartening that the police made to protect lives of the masses were the ones torturing them.

“The crisis rocking FUTA calls for attention now. What happened days ago at the school campus between the JAC (SSANU, NASU, and NAAT), the school management and the students is highly embarrassing.”
