There are seven continents in the world and they include Asia, Africa, North America, South America, Antarctica, Europe and Australia with Asia making 60% of the earth dwellers and Africa having the highest countries.

ASIA 
Asia has 50 countries and it is the most populated continent making 60% of the total population of the Earth. It has total area of 44,579,000 Sq.Km

AFRICA 
It comprises of 54 countries. It is the hottest continent and home of the world's largest desert, the Sahara, occupying the 25% of the total area of Africa. Africa has the total area of 30,370,000 Sq.Km

NORTH AMERICA 
It includes 23 countries led by the USA as the largest economy in the world with total area of 24,709,000 Sq.km.

SOUTH AMERICA 
It consists of 12 countries. It is location of the largest forest, the Amazon rain forest, which covers 30% of the South America total area. It has total area of 17,840,000 Sq.km

ANTARCTICA 
This is the coldest continent in the world, completely covered with ice. There are no permanent inhabitants, except of scientists maintaining research stations in Antarctica. Antarctica has the total area of 14,000,000 Square kilometre (Sq.km)

EUROPE 
Europe comprises of 44 countries. It is the most developed economically continent with the European Union as the biggest economic and political union in the world. Europe has the total area of 10,180,000 Sq.km.

AUSTRALIA
It contains 14 countries. It is the least populated continent after Antarctica, only 0.3% of the total Earth population with total area of 8,600,000 Sq.km.
