Okwagbe residents lament hardship of the lockdown
Residents of Okwagbe in Ughelli South LGA of Delta state described the hardship of the lockdown as a result of the corona virus disease (COVID-19) as unbearable and unforgettable.
Okwagbe is the market hub of the city and the most populated area in the local government with a well positioned market where residents from within and outside earn their daily living.
With the extension of the lockdown by the Delta state government, their means of livelihood is gradually winding down and if nothing is done urgently, it may result to civil disobedience which can cause tremendous break down of laws and orders.
The residents of Okwagbe urge the government and concerned individuals to come to their aid with palliative measures to cushion the hardship been faced by the people.
Furthermore, Warri residents are equally facing the same challenge which led to the death of an army officer at the early stage of the lock down.
