Nigeria's former President, Goodluck Jonathan commemorates with Africa leaders on the occasion of the 57th Africa Day Celebration on the theme "Silencing the Guns".

The former President enjoins Africa leaders to yield themselves to democratic norms and values. They should priotitise the rules of law, respect for human rights, gender equality and human security, in order attain @My_AfricanUnion #Agenda2063.

In the year 2020, the Africa continent will be marking its 100 years of democratic dividends and true leadership across the globe.

Dr. Jonathan, who was Nigeria's President between 2010 - 2015 shared this post on the Goodluck Jonathan Foundation.

The post reads:
"As we celebrate #AfricaDay2020: #SilencingtheGuns,  we ask leaders to yield themselves to democratic norms & values.
They should prioritise the rule of law, respect for human rights,  gender equality & human security, in order to  attain

UNESCO Marks Africa 2020 Events Schedule
Let's engage ourselves in a collective reflection on post-crisis & start building a new Africa: United and Innovative.

It will conclude with a Show 2.0 that will be broadcast for free in prime time, on all African national channels and some private channels, with the technical support of the African Union Broadcasting.

All actors of this Show 2.0 have set themselves the objectives of raising awareness about the risks of infection, to engage in a collective reflection on post-crisis Africa, and to support the actors in the construction of this new Africa : United and Innovative.
