Buhari approves Opening of Schools and Worship Centres

Nigerians are happy with the opening of schools after 9 weeks of lockdown and movement restrictions as a result of the global pandemic called corona virus or simply COVID-19.

Meanwhile, President has given the go ahead for schools and worship centres to resume fully, but they must follow the NCDC and PTF guidelines for full operations to avoid further shutdown.

The resumption of academics activities for 3rd term of 2018/2019 Academic Session in primary and secondary schools and institutions of higher learning has been reviewed.

The Federal Ministry of Education, states ministries of Education and the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, headed by Boss Mustapha will soon release a blueprint on how schools across the country will be monitored against the corona virus to avoid further spread of the virus among school children.

With the extension of the ease of lockdown in Abuja, Lagos and Ogun States, economics activities are expected to resume fully by June 1.

Also, institutions of learning are to resume fully with strict compliance with the guidelines to be released before 8th June, 2020.

Religious activities are expected to take full swing alongside the opening of schools to avoid alarming projection of Nigeria's entering recession caused by the deadly virus.
