Happy Democracy Day

Nigeria celebrates 21 years of uninterrupted civilian rules witnessing four successive administration of struggles, joy, peace, conflict and unity from May 29, 1999 to date.

Today, the country is celebrating the huge success and price paid by our leaders who fought for the civil rule. Chief MKO Abiola is being celebrated as the  hero of democracy in Nigeria.

Democracy Day was initially being celebrated on May 29 of every year, but was later changed to June 12 of every year by the Buhari 's administration as amended (2019).

Leaders of democracy in Nigeria are Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, Late Alhaji Umaru Musa Yar'Adua, Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari.
