Nigeria COVID-19 Molecular Laboratory Testing Centres now 30 Nationwide

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control says it has completed additional molecular laboratory testing centre at the National Intelligence Agency Abuja bringing the total number of completed labs to be 30.

This development will increase the rate of test sampling in the country while making efforts to conclude the ongoing project at the Kwara and Gombe laboratory centres.

As at today, Dr. Chikwe Ihekweazu and his team of expert at the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control says the total numbers of confirmed cases of the coronavirus  pandemic is now 10,819 with 314 deaths across 35 states and the FCT Abuja.

The statement read;

We are pleased to announce the inclusion of an additional lab to the NCDC Molecular Laboratory Network: National Intelligence Agency, Abuja

This brings the total number of labs with the capacity to test for #COVID19 in Nigeria to 30.
