COVID-19 Nigeria: 389 New Cases Reported by NCDC

Nigeria recorded 389 new cases of corona virus disease that put the country's total confirmed cases of COVID-19 at 12,233 across 35 states, with 8065 active cases, 3826 discharged and 342 death.

The new 389 cases were reported from 23 states with 9 deaths. So far, Lagos, Kano and FCT are the states with highest number of cases. Meanwhile, citizens are urged to maintain guidelines despite the ease on movement restrictions and the lift of ban on religious centres to avoid further spread of the virus. 

Today, Nigeria marks 100 days of corona virus pandemic as the country's index case was reported on 27th February, 2020 - 6th June, 2020.

The new 389 cases were reported from the following states:Lagos(66), FCT (50), Delta(32), Oyo(31), Borno (26), Rivers(24), Edo (23), Ebonyi(23), Anambra(17), Gombe(17), Nasarawa(14), Imo(12), Kano (12), Sokoto(12), Jigawa (8), Ogun(7), Bauchi (5), Kebbi (2), Kaduna(2), Katsina(2), Ondo(2), Abia(1), Niger(1)
