Governor Obaseki quits APC
The Edo state governor, Godwin Obaseki has tendered his resignation from the membership of the ruling All Progressive Congress APC after meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari.
Obaseki's decision was based on wide consultation with associates and party faithfuls as a result of his disqualification from contesting the party primaries last week.
Although, Governor Obaseki is yet to decide which party to join for possible re-election in the gubernatorial race.
The race for Obaseki's second tenure bid is getting stronger as he may be contesting with strong opposition as the leadership of APC led by Comrade Adams Oshiomhole has resolved to terminate his political career in the state.
