Senate President Lawan Dismisses Buhari's Impeachment over Insecurity
The Nigerian Senate has moved impeachment process against President Muhammadu Buhari over the insecurity challenges facing the country.
However, the motion which was moved by opposition members in the red chamber of the National Assembly was dismissed by the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan. This led to a walk-out of some members during plenary session as the Senate President Lawan refused to process impeachment against President Buhari in the face of shameful security challenges.
Recall that terrorism and banditry has taken a new shape and the President is unable to control the situation at the moment.
It is wise for the president to step-down or stand impeached to enable others chart a new course for the country.
Nigeria with a population of over 211 million people is being led by a man who cannot handle insecurity and party members fill comfortable with the situation.
The Buhari-APC led administration should wake-up to the economic and security issues facing the country and bring about a stable and peaceful nation.
