Big Brother Naija (BBN) is a reality tv entertainment show where housemates are kept in a confined environment, competing on different tasks and receiving public votes.

Housemates with lowest votes are evicted until the last man standing. The last housemate is declared the winner of the season with a specific grand prize as published by Felix Omoko's Blog (FOB).

BBNaija related terms are housemates, audition, nomination, eviction, disqualification, Head of House challenge, HoH, weekly wager, diary session, House Rule & related punishment, headline sponsor and associate sponsor, host (Presenter) and reunion show.

BBNaija Merges with South African

In September 2022, Multi Choice announced that the Big Brother Naija with be merged with South Africa citizens as from 2023. It means that housemates will be sourced from Nigerians and South Africans instead of just Nigerians.

BBNaija will be merged with new name as from 2023 to become Big Brother of Nigeria and South African. New housemates will be selected from both countries (Nigerians and South Africans) according to Multi Choice Nigeria, the organiser of Big Brother Naija (BBN).

BBNaija had featured seven seasons since inception June 2006, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 comprising of only Nigeria citizens.

Note: Big Brother Naija name will be changed to new name to be announce before the commencement of season 8 in 2023.
