Ike Ekweremadu: EFCC Secures Court Interim Forfeiture of 40 Assets

 

Ike Ekweremadu, former deputy Senate President of Nigeria to forfeit properties worth N200 billion to the Federal Government as EFCC secures court order.

The Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC has secured an interim court order to forfeit 40 assets traced to Nigeria's former deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu.

Previously, Ekweremadu who since August 2022 has been battling with her daughter kidney related issues in the United Kingdom (UK) and yet to recover from that global disgrace.

Now, Nigeria's anti-graft agency has secured the interim forfeiture of 40 assets traced to the former senate president. If, it goes by the actual value of things and he failed to secured intervention, Ike must have lost everything he has acquired since he ventured into politics.

Assets Analysis

The landed properties comprise of 15 in Abuja, 10 in Enugu (Mr Ekweremadu’s home state), one in Lagos, two in the United Kingdom, three in the United States, and nine in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
