Dan Iya Manir Muhammad is a Nigerian politician and Economist who has served as deputy governor of Sokoto state between 2018 - 2022 and 2023 PDP senatorial candidate for Sokoto North.

Dan Iya Manir Muhammad was born in 1970 from Kware local government area of Sokoto state. He served in various capacity to the state government since 2003 on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

In 2022, he won the party senatorial election to contest for the 2023 Nigerian Senate election under Sokoto North senatorial district.

He attended Gari Primary School, Sokoto and Science Secondary School Farfaru in 1989. He is an Economics graduate from Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto with where attained primary school certificate, secondary school certificate and bachelor degree.
