Angry Customers Set Access & First Banks on Fire over Refusal to Accept Old Bank Notes

Aggrieved customers has set ablaze the entire promises of two major bank branches in Warri Delta State leading to massive protest.

The affected branches are Access and First Bank branches in Udu, Orhuwhorun area of Warri in Delta State.

Felix Omoko Blog gathered that the two bank branches are the only banks serving  Udu and Ughelli South local government areas of Delta State and their refusal to collect the old bank notes and unavailability of the new ones has led to a bloody protest in Warri.

Situation report confirm that there is a serious protest going on in Warri as a result of the CBN new naira swap policy and timely refusal of the old notes of N200, N300 and N1000.

We urge the Delta state government and security operatives to quickly curtain the ongoing protest and destruction of properties that can lead to huge socio-political and economic hardship.

The current economic situation in Nigeria at the moment can harp the success and outcome of the 2023 General Elections in the country.

Let us do the needful to restore peace in Warri and environ in particular and Nigeria in general.
