The Senators of the 10th National Assembly has elected Senator Godswill Akpabio and Senator Ibrahim Barau Jibrin as the President of the Senate and deputy respectively.

Godswill Akpabio is representing Akwa-Ibom North West senatorial district and Senator Ibrahim Barau Jibrin is representing Kano North Senatorial district under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party.
