Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas and Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu has emerged as the new Speaker and Deputy of the Federal House of Representatives.

Tajudeen and Kalu are the current Speaker and deputy of the Federal House of Representatives elected on June 13, 2023.

Tajudeen Abbas hailed from Zaria, Kaduna state under Zaria Federal constituency. He was a member of the Federal House of Reps between 2011-2015 and 2015 -2019.

He was born on 1 October 1963

Benjamin Kalu hailed from Bende, Abia state under Bende Federal Constituency

Until his election into the 10th National Assembly in 2023, Kalu has served as Transition chairman of Bende LGA BETWEEN 2003 - 2004; Special Adviser to the Abia State Governor on Local Government and Chieftaincy affairs (2007 - 2009) as well as Senior Special Adviser to the Abia State governor on Millenium Development Goals and International relations (2009 - 2010).

Both are members of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
