Trump was indicted on 37 federal felony counts, according to a Department of Justice indictment, over allegations that Trump mishandled classified White House documents after he left office.


Trump was charges on 31 counts of violating a federal statute in the Espionage Act prohibiting the willful retention of national defense secrets, as well as counts related to making false statements and obstructing justice.
