'All Eyes on the Judiciary' - Oby

Oby Ezekwesili

Dr. Oby Ezekwesili has opined that an independent judiciary is the only means of enhancing the rule of law in a democratic system of government.

It seems the Nigeria judiciary system is being controlled by the political winds, by effect our democracy is growing among thorns and may soon dwindle in the course of time.

Oby made this statement in view of the way DSS is being used to pursue unclear cause in a democratic system of ours. She is calling on the Supreme Court of Nigeria and the judges to overhaul the ways the political wind is blowing in the country just to favour their desires and interest.

The IQ of an average Nigerian can see things for themselves without mingling words, 'all Eyes on the judiciary' in all areas of their jurisdiction, she affirms.

Her post on Twitter reads

Surely the Chief Justice of Nigeria and our Judiciary have the basic wisdom to know that #AllEyesOnTheJudiciary means that All Nigerian Eyes are on them.

I believe that an independent judiciary is the crown jewel of our constitutional republic.
Brett Kavanaugh

The bedrock of our democracy is the rule of law and that means we have to have an independent judiciary, judges who can make decisions independent of the political winds that are blowing.
Caroline Kennedy

Nigeria truly need an independent judiciary, where trust and fairness will be the basis of their decisions.
