DSS Officers, Prison officials Uncommon Fight over custody of Emefiele

The officers of the Department of State Services were allegedly fighting with Prison officials over the custody of the suspended CBN governor, Godwin Emefiele.

Emefiele was today granted bail at a Federal High court sitting on the provision of of 20 million and one surety bail condition.

FOB gathered that a federal high court in Ikoyi, Lagos has granted Godwin Emefiele N20 million  bail and one surety in like sum.

However, DSS operatives insisted on taking away the suspended CBN governor into their custody. 

The officials of the Nigerian Prison service, otherwise known as the Correctional insisted that Emefiele should be under their custody, pending when the bail conditions are meant.

Recall that Godwin Emefiele was placed on suspension as the governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on June 9

However, he was not immediately charged to court until the intervention of the court, the last hope of the common man.

Nigerians are not unaware about the cause of the fighting, if there are untold story behind the suspension of Emefiele. 

It is important that the Presidency should brief Nigerians on what they should know, than exhibiting 'social fight'.
