Martin Van Buren was an American lawyer, statesman and politician who served as the 8th President of the United States of America.

Martin Van Buren was born 5th December, 1782 and was in office between 4th March 1837 and 4th March, 19841 in a single term of four years. The US election was held in 1836.

Martin Van Buren was assisted by Vice President Richard Mentor Johnson under the Democratic-Republican party.

Buren died on July 524 1862 in New York. He was married to Hannah Hoes and they both has 5 children.
