NEC: Shettima Meets with State Governors on Crucial Matters

Nigerian Vice President, Kashim Shettima is currently holding a National Economic Council meeting with state governors in Abuja.

The meeting was chaired by Vice President Shettima with the 36 state governors, to discuss crucial economic matters, bordering around the adverse effect of the petrol subsidy removal and the distribution of the N500 billion palliative.

The news as reported by NTA reads in part.

The National Economic Council meeting currently holding, chaired by Vice President Kashim Shettima and State Governors. 

President Tinubu was absentia in the 2nd National Economic Council meeting being held at the council chamber, Abuja.

The meeting which is second since inauguration of the council by President Bola Tinubu is focusing on ways to cushion the effect of fuel subsidy removal.

The outcome of the meeting may suggest possible ways to address the current economic crisis in the country.
