President Tinubu first 60 Days in Office
Today mark 60 days since President Bola Ahmed Tinubu assumed office as the 16th democratically elected President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
President Bola Tinubu was sworn-in as the 16th President of the country on 29 May 2023 and his inaugural speech sparked up the immediate rise in the pump price of PMS and the same has been increment in a second roll.
President Tinubu meant well for Nigerians as he unfold his economic policy across the various sectors of the economy. The removal of fuel subsidy was part of his campaign promise, that there are lot of irregularities in the implementation of the fuel subsidy payments.
In the first 60 days in office, the President has made some significant changes ranging from the suspension of CBN governor and EFCC boss and the appointments of new service chiefs, alongside special advisers.
Also, he has submitted ministerial nominees to the Senate for screening, and his plans to scraps and merge some ministries for better governance in Nigeria.
We are therefore urged to look away for immediate benefits and see how he will implement his first tenure of four years in office.
President Tinubu is the current chairman of the Economic Communities of West African States, ECOWAS).
