Senates Clears Wike for Ministerial Position

The Nigerian Senate has cleared Barr. Nyesom Wike the immediate past governor of Rivers state and a chieftain of PDP for ministerial position.

Wike arrived National Assembly complex and was accompanied by his wife and some party faithful for his ministerial screening

Wike a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and loyalist to President Tinubu arrived at the National Assembly with his wife and some party loyalists.

The Senate is expected to screen the first set of ministerial nominees selected by President Bola Tinubu.

Recall that Wike, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, was part of the first set of ministerial nominees Tinubu forwarded to the Senate last Thursday.

The 28 ministerial nominees consists of former governors, professionals and technocrats; among which were 7 women.
