BBNaija All stars organisers choice of using Jury decisions to decide who finally leave the house a among those to be evicted is being severely criticized as unfair and incredible as witnessed in their first and second weeks of eviction.

Biggie introduced the first set of jurists and they were Dorathy (Lockdown), Bisola (See Gobe) and Mike (Double Wahala). They were able to evict Princess among the choice of two housemates (Princess and Seyi).

According to the public vote received, Seyi was the housemate with the lowest vote, but was saved by the Jurists. It also means that Seyi have no substantial fans to vote for him.

In the second week of eviction, been Sunday 13th. The jurists that came were Teddy A, Laycon and Diana. They did well as jurists, but their decisions were purely based on who they know already. Whereas, the public are they ones using their time and resources to vote for their favourite housemates.

Coincidentally, Seyi has the lowest in week 2. The bottom three housemates were Seyi, Uriel and Tolanibaj. Recall that in week 1, it was Seyi, Princess and Ike.

What actually is the role of the Jury in this game? It seems they are not contributing to the voting of the housemates, and public voting is based on fan basis.

Eviction and Nomination

So far, the All stars have show has witnessed the eviction of Princess and Uriel, with 18 others competing for the ultimate grand prize of N120 million.

Uriel is not known by the jurists, but Seyi is well known and a friend to the jurists that came. If the jurists have no other role to play. They should be scrapped, for the sake of those using their time and money to boost their housemates stay in the game to the end

In the case of Princess and Seyi. Seyi is also popular to the jurists, and has no crowd of voting fans. Whereas housemates who were privileged to have voting fans and followers were being evicted for the ground of not well know and sentiments.

All Stars Jury Role and Duties

Nigerians react to the role being played by the Jury as being immaterial, for frustrating the hard work of the people doing the voting with their time and resources.

The jury role could possibly be replaced with public voting. It means the jurists can just decide and evict their choice of housemates from the Big Brother house.

Historically, BBNaija as a reality tv show is basically known as "viewers' choice tv program' where, they decide who leaves and who stays by public votes, and that is the fun of the game. Anything less than that is an act of incredibility and injustice to the housemate(s) in question and their online followers.

Moreover, the current role of the jury should be reviewed, and if possible, scraped for the peace and stability of the reality tv show.

Viewers are not comfortable with the use of jury in the All Stars season 8 of Big Brother Naija (BBN) where 20 housemates were supposed to be competing for the grand prize of N120 million.

Public Votes    

Netizens are on the opinion of shuning public votes in the All Stars BBNaija season 8 in the coming week, and allow the jury to decide on their own.

It is appalling for jury to frustrate the efforts of the viewers on the ground of friendship and tribalism, making the entertainment show incredible and injustifiable.
