EFCCC Nabs Yahoo Yahoo Boys

The Operations of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC has arrested 23 alleged Internet fraudsters, also known as Yahoo Yahoo boys, commences investigations.

The Operatives of the EFCC Sokoto Command on Friday 25th August 2023 arrested 23 alleged Internet Fraudsters otherwise known as Yahoo Yahoo boys at the Bafarawa Estate of Sokoto Town and Kalkalawa estate, kalkalawa area Sokoto.

A statement by the spokesman of the command Kamal Ibrahim says intelligence-driven observations along with intensive close monitoring proved that the young men are living above their means with no genuine source of income.

Items found at their premises include a red Corolla sport 2009, a white Corolla 2015, 16 different Laptops, a generator, 30 different phones, and 2 MTN Routers.

They will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded, the report says.
