Praise ye the Lord for His Goodness

1. Praise ye the Lord for His goodness,
And steadfast love towards man,
Come, ye O redeemed of the Lord,
Come in as a happy band,
mp When in trouble we called on Him,
He rescued us from distress,
Leading us on, to His glory,
From the distant wilderness.

2. f Praise ye the Lord for His goodness,
And steadfast love towards man,
Leading us out of the darkness
Into His salvation plan.
mf He gives water to the thirsty,
And food to the hungry gave,
Captive chains are cut asunder,
Prison doors, to pieces smashed.

3. f Praise ye the Lord for His goodness,
And steadfast love towards man,
The sin-sick soul, and the feeble,
To them He stretched healing hand.
When we were on troubled-waters,
And were threatened sore by storms
He commanded and there was calm,
Saving us, who are but worms.

4. f Praise ye the Lord for His goodness,
And steadfast love towards man,
For His everlasting mercies
Which outnumbered sea-shore sand.
Extol Him, you His creation,
In the company of the saints
ff Alleluia!, Alleluia!!
Our God till eternally. Amen
