Aminu Renders Apology to Ribadu over Kano Emirship Crises

We were misled. The Deputy Governor of Kano state, Aminu Abdulssalam, has publicly rendered unreserved apology to Nuhu Ribadu, the National Security Adviser over utterances regarding the Emir crisis in the state.

Aminu initially was fed with wrong information, which make to uttered words directed to the National Security Adviser to the President, Ribadu.

The Deputy Governor issued an apology while providing updates to the press about the latest developments concerning the emirship dispute from the government’s perspective.

Aminu Abdussalam implied that the Kano government initially received incorrect information but later, upon thorough investigation, concluded that the NSA was not linked to the crisis.

Recall that the Emirship crisis has led to protests at various locations across the state. Some are demanding for reinstatement of the dethroned Emir, others supporting the returns of HRH Sanusi II as the 16th Emir of Kano.

The reinstatement order was politically motivated by Governor Abba Yusuf after following the constitutional process.
