Okwagbe Old Students Congratulate Darah, Commend Oborevwori

The Old Boys Association of St. Vincent’s College Okwagbe has congratulated its National President, Prof Gabriel Godini Darah on his recent appointment as Member of the Governing Council of Delta State University, Abraka.

In a congratulatory message signed by the National Secretary of the Association, Mr Matthew Shaguolo described the appointment of Darah as well deserved and commended the Governor of Delta State, Elder Sheriff Oborevwori for appointing another alumnus of the school into strategic position in the state.

Recalled that in 2023, Gov. Oborevwori  appointed two alumni of the school, Olorogun Vincent Ogheneruemu Oyibode, and Barr Aghoghophia Otto as Commissioner for Oil and Gas and Clerk of the Delta State House of Assembly respectively.

In 2022, Barr Otto was the acting clerk of the State House of Assembly, before being elevated to the new status as Clerk of the House.

Also, Olorogun Vincent Oyibode served as a former commissioner representing Ughelli South, Ughelli North and Udu LGAs in DESOPADEC.

In May 2024, Oyibode emerged as the PDP chairmanship flag bearer for the 2024 Udu Local Government election.

Oborevwori’s Vision and Promises

This gesture is quite commendable as part of Gov Oborevwori M.O.R.E. Agenda to promote the image of the state.

The governor also stated that the state has not borrowed for the past one year, yet progressing on every side. He stated this during the 8th assembly first anniversary thanksgiving held at Redeemed church Asaba.
