Nigeria President, Bola Tinubu had a productive meeting with his South Africa counterpart, Cyril Ramaphosa after inauguration.

President Tinubu said, he discussed bilateral related matters with President Ramaphosa toward strengthening cooperation and enhancing the economic ties between the two country.

Their meeting was productive as they were able to discuss pertinent issue bordering around Africa politics, economics and security.

The President has been in South Africa since Tuesday to attend the inauguration ceremony of President Ramaphosa for another term in office.

Ramaphosa has been President of South Africa since 2018, and was re-elected for another term in office.

I had the honor of attending President Cyril Ramaphosa’s inauguration in Pretoria yesterday, and today I met with him for a bilateral meeting. Our discussions focused on strengthening cooperation and enhancing the economic ties between Nigeria and South Africa, he said on X platform on Thursday.

President Ramaphosa’s warm welcome and dedication to mutual respect and cooperation reflect the depth of our relationship. We intend working together to address our countries’ challenges through robust trade and economic strategies, and I am hopeful that we can lead our nations towards increased prosperity and unity.

Looking forward to collaborating at this crucial juncture for the progress of our continent.
