Rivers Crisis: LGA Boss Flee for Safety

The chairman and officials of Asari Toru Local Government in Rivers state has fled for safety as the community took over the council secretariat.

Rivers state had in recent time has become crisis state ever since Gov Sim Fubara had political issues with predecessor, Nyesom Wike, the current FCT minister.

Gov. Fubara served under Wike as commissioner of Finance, and eventually became his successor, but later had glimpse which has lingered than expected.

Although, we are yet to receive official directive from the Executive Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, as at the time of reporting.

Let the people of Rivers state learn from the aftermath of Warri crisis in Delta state, that affected the relocation of major oil companies from the state.

Rivers state is one of the top oil producing states in Nigeria, and the number one in the Niger Delta region.

The continuous political crisis is indirectly affecting the state security and economy stability.
