The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) was created in 2004 and registered  under Nigerian laws  as a non-governmental, non-profit organization.

Cross River State is a southern state created in 1967 out of the former eastern region and Calabar is its capital comprising of 18 LGAs.

Ondo State is a South West state created on 3 February 1976 from the former Western State. It originally included what is now Ekiti State, which was split off in 1996. It's capital city is Akure.

Sokoto State was created in February 3, 1976 out of the then North Western State during regime of General Murtala Mohammed. It's capital and largest city is Sokoto.

Bauchi State is a state located in North East geo-political zone of Nigeria comprising of 20 LGAs and tertiary institutions.

Borno state was created in 1976 in North Eastern geopolitical zone of Nigeria comprising of  27 Local Government and social amenities.

Edo state was created in 1991 from the northern portion of the defunct Bendel state, the southern portion becoming Delta state, comprising of 19 LGAs.

Imo state is an Igbo state created in 1976 in South East geo-political zone of Nigeria with a population of over 6 million people comprising of 27 LGAs.

Osun state was created in 1991 part of Oyo state, located in South west geo-political zone of Nigeria comprising of 30 LGAs.

Yobe State was created out of old Borno State with Damaturi serving  as the capital city on 27th August 1991.
