An earthquake of  7.5 magnitude that claimed thousands of lives at Turkey and Syria has caused a global concern as one of the largest and the most devastating earthquake of all time.

NEMA - Two earth tremors hit communities in Jaba Local Government Area in Southern Kaduna. The first one occurred at Kwoi, at about 10:30am on Sunday, September 11th. Hours later, another earth tremor hit Sambang Daji village, also in Jaba, on Monday . Residents were said to have fled in panic. 

The death toll from a devastating earthquake in central Italy reached at least 241 people on Thursday and could rise further after rescue teams worked through the night to try to find survivors under the rubble of flattened towns.

A magnitude 6.2 earthquake has struck central Italy, leaving at least 21 people dead and many others trapped under rubble, report says.
